You won’t find the services of an organized beach here, but you will enjoy carefree swimming at a place of unique beauty. It is one of the last natural paradises of Crete. The visitors usually reach it via Kastelli in Kissamos, as part of a boat tour, passing first through the island of Gramvoussa.
The Marika Kotopouli Museum started operating on May 9 1990, in order to be a functional museum of modern art. The building is the summer house, built in 1926 by the great actress of the Greek Theatre Marika Kotopouli.
The port of Spinalonga is situated on the northwest side of the gulf of Mirabello. On the entrance of the port, close to the Spinalonga peninsula, is where the skerry of the same name is located, entirely surrounded by a fort.
