Visit the Prehistoric Museum if Santorini. The exhibition endeavors to sketch the course of Therea in prehistoric times, through selected finds from the thousands in the storerooms. This was a dynamic and creative course which established the city at Akrotiri as one of the most important Aegean centers during the 18th and 17th centuries B.C. Continue with our licensed guide and discover the prehistoric town which was destroyed by the huge eruption of 1612 BC. You will have the impression that the past is unfolding ahead walking around the paths and very well-maintained buildings.
