One of the most famous beaches of the Mediterranean, it is located on the west side of the Gramvousa peninsula, next othe the ruins of ancient Falasarna. Something between Carribean and Maldives, the 60km trip from Chania will be completely rewarded. You will be met by endless blue, in front of blillions of specks of golden sand. The big beach is interrupted on the edges by big rocks in the water and on the beach, and it isn’t uncommon for light waves to appear, transforming your swimming to a Fun Fair.
The Fountain of the Lions or "Lions" is one of the central parts of the city. It is well known except by locals and foreigners. The fountain was built in 1628 by General Provisioner Francesco Morosini to help supply water to the city, which suffered from water scarcity.
This beach is located in the town of Chania, and owes its’ name to its’ golden sand! Perfectly organised, with umbrellas and chairs, it is the best choice for familiew not wanting to wander far away from their base.
Aenea was a small Macedonian city, which was attached to the then newlyfounded Thessaloniki, when it was founded in 315BC by Kassandros. It was close to the Thermaikos gulf.
