The Cycladic Art Museum was founded in 1986, in order to house the collection of exhibits of Cycladic and Ancient Greek art, of Nikolaos and Ekaterini Goulandri.
The Stathatos Manor houses since 1991 the new aisle of the museum. Since that time, it hosts in the ground floor the Collection of Ancient Greek Art of the Athens Academy.
