The National Museum of Modern Art began operating in 2000. This was a step to fill a big gap that existed for many years on international modern art for Athens.
At a distance of 20 kms west of Chania lay the remains of the Ancient Diktynna temple. A hermit location, due to a rough dirt road with deep water and sand iterchanging with pebbles, rewarding the brave ones.
The aim of the exhibition is not only to provide info on the games in ancient times, but also to initiate the visitor in what the Olympics were.
