This beach is located in the town of Chania, and owes its’ name to its’ golden sand! Perfectly organised, with umbrellas and chairs, it is the best choice for familiew not wanting to wander far away from their base.
The Numismatic museum has always encouraged, and still does, the creation of new training programmes looking to make to the younger people knoen the importance of museums in society.
Continuing west of Anopolis on Sfakia, you will find Aradaina, a literally deserted village. A visit here to wander through the paths, the gardens and the half demolished stone houses which unfortunately the bridge couldn’t save from decay, is well worth it.
