Excursion’s meeting point is set at Glymata of Agios Nikolaos at 8:30 a.m.
We will initially be transported to the wood-burning oven area, we will light the fire together and after that we will enjoy a traditional Cretan breakfast, which includes beverages (coffee, orange juice, tea with Cretan herbs) and traditional bread with cheese.
We will then make the dough for the bread, knead the dough, shape the bread loaves and while the dough is resting, we will try some traditional Cretan snacks (rusks nuts, olives, seasonal vegetables )accompanied by raki, the traditional Cretan drink.
After lowering the oven temperature, we will place the bread in and while it is baking, we will prepare our lunch, which is gastronomically based on the Cretan diet.
Finally, we will take the bread out of the oven and enjoy the delicacies we have prepared, accompanied by fresh, fragnant bread and local red wine.
When it’s time to leave, you will receive a fresh loaf of bread as a souvenir of your whole experience.
